Brave Fall Trees & Leaves

The good thing about this time of the year is colourful leaves.

Although the chilly weather makes me crouch when I walk out the door, the beautiful sunshine and colourful leaves always make me smile and look at the bright side of fall.

This week, I’m talking about fall trees and leaves in the Mini Class.

I describe fall trees as brave here because they let go of their leaves and get ready to go through cold winter.

This is the first episode of my new Mini Class series, “A Sprinkle of Confidence”.

(Song is from Cape May County Library)

Yes, we can use leaves to teach about science, colours, counting or vocabulary too. But this teacher wanted to use them as an opportunity to teach about courage and growth mindset

Here is the recourses for the follow-up activity that I mentioned in the video.

Anything coming to your mind from the leaves song in the class?

What colour of leaves are your favourite? Why?

Beautiful Moment of Tree Art

5. Cut out the speech balloons and add them to your art.

Read the words for your child and grab this chance to practice letters and vocabulary.

Beautiful Moment of Tree Art

6. If your child enjoyed the leaf art, try asking this question.

Can you think of any moment (among many😌) when you were so beautiful and you want to remember?

Your child can draw or make that moment on the template “Beautiful Moment of Me”.

Happy learning and quality time!
