Just “Not Yet” – Clapping Game with Zoo Animals

When your child can’t do something, what is the first thing that s/he says?

Probably…… “I can’t do it.”

Right?

Yes, s/he is telling the truth and communicating well.

But,

if it’s something that you want your child to try again and learn how to do,

remember to add “not yet”.

Remember to add “NOT YET”

It’s a very small thing but this simple words can challenge your child to try again and again until s/he masters the skill.

Alright, then let’s implement it in a game.

In this Mini Class #40, I play a clapping game with zoo animals.

Play the game with me and practice saying “not yet”.

MINI CLASS #40

Get the rhythm cards and “not yet/yes” cards and let your child play the game again by herself/himself.

It’s something that we know so well but doesn’t come readily in the real life.

Use this game that is intentionally made for young children to create the habit of saying “not yet”. It’s the simplest way of instilling the growth mindset.

Happy learning and quality time!
