Colouring with Positive Affirmations on Mommy’s Sick Day – Animals 1

I’ve been sick for more than a week now.

There was a break. Last Sunday, I was almost recovered from a weeks-long cough and was feeling good, but I caught a virus on Monday from work. 🙁 Many children have been sick recently.

I’ve lost my voice since last Tuesday and I’m still not in a position to record podcast. When I’m sick and not able to create new resources or contents, I think about moms on their sick day. It’s not that you can say “I’m off today” and take time to rest. You have to still watch your child and you don’t want your child feel low like you.

Even when I’m sick, I go to work sometimes. And on those days, I still care about my students and I want them to have a good time at school. But to go through the hard days smoothly, I need to have prepared resources.

This time, I made colouring pictures with animals.

I’m sure you have books that have animals in them. Give some animal books to your child to read first and then give my colouring pictures.

Step 1. Find and give books that have animals as characters.

Step 2. Give the colouring pictures of animals with pencil crayons/fine markers.

Step 3. Read the positive affirmation on the colouring page to your child.

Step 4. Let your child enjoy independent play with books and colouring pictures.
