Book “Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site” by Sherri Duskey Rinker (author) and Tom Lichtenheld (illustrator)
Are you familiar with this book?
You might already have this book at home if you have a construction-loving child.
But I bet you will learn something new from my lesson this week (😉) because I look at it from a growth mindset teacher’s point of view.
It’s a good book to read any time of the day if your child like construction vehicles. You can name the different vehicles and see what each vehicle can do at a construction site.
But in addition to that, there are some points that can teach about growth mindset.
- The five construction vehicles are happy during the day time.
- They know the time to stop working and playing.
- Look at their mindset when they prepare to go to sleep.
If you want to make this story time a little longer and more meaningful, you can ask some personal questions to your child, too, using the story of this book.
Listen to the episode 73 of Teacher Gela Podcast and prepare a fun (but calm) bedtime tonight – for your child and you!
Happy learning and quality time!
