What do children need to let go?
Toys that they don’t use, clothes that don’t fit them and books that they don’t read.
Are you thinking of donating any of those items?
Does your child have a difficulty of letting them go?
Then here is a book that you want to read with your child.
Book “Red Shoes” by Karen English (author) and Ebony Glenn (illustrator)

In this book, Malika let go of the red shoes that she used and loved for some time. She had many memories with them and still loved them but they didn’t fit her any more and she decided to take them to a thrift store with her grandma. The red shoes were sold to a lady and they went to a new girl in a different country.
“Meanwhile, back on the other side of the ocean, Malika wonders: Whatever happened to my beautiful red shoes…… I wonder if someone is wearing them right now!”
– BOOK “RED SHOES”
It can be a good story to hear for a child who has a hard time letting her baby toy go. But also, it can be a good story to hear for a child who wants to experience the big world to the fullest.
I share my opinions about the book “Red Shoes” and lessons that you can teach with the story of the book in the episode 87 of Teacher Gela Podcast.

Happy learning and quality time!
