*Mini Class video coming at the end
Halloween is coming.
Is your child excited about that?
Are you excited about that?
I’m not a big fan of Halloween but I think it’s a fun theme to play with children. It can be a chance to teach your child about some scary (but not so scary😉) things and images in a friendly way and an opportunity to get into a dramatic play.
There are many Halloween craft activities that you can find online to do with your child. But I want to introduce a more independent and process-focused Halloween activity here.
When children can do things by themselves from the beginning to the end, they can feel more accomplished and have increased self-esteem as a result.
Halloween Wall Hanging Decoration
Materials
- Thin paper plates
- Halloween images
- Scissors
- Glue (liquid glue)
- Tempera paint (in Halloween colours)
- Paint brushes
- Glitters (optional)
How To
- Paint a paper plate with Halloween colours.
- While the paper plate is drying, cut out Halloween images.
You can find Halloween images on the internet or you can just download my templates HERE.
- When the paper plate is dry, glue the cut out Halloween images on the plate.
- Prepare a pot of liquid glue and add some glitters in.
Glitters are optional. If you don’t want to use glitters, just prepare a pot of plain glue.
- Coat the paper plate with the glitter glue.
Coating will help the images stay on the plate.
And the glitters make the images look more mysterious. (I think so.😝)
- Dry the paper plate.
- Tape or staple a little string loop. (Help your child if s/he needs to use a stapler.)
- Hang the decoration in the room.👻
With your Halloween hanging decoration, join in the Mini Class!😀
We will sing a Halloween song together with our decorations!!
I’ll come back with more Halloween activities next week!🎃
Happy learning and quality time!
