How to Enjoy Halloween with a Scared Toddler

Do you like Halloween?

Halloween is coming in a week.

If you are not doing much for Halloween because you have a little toddler who is scared of Halloween stuff, I’ve got a solution for you.🎃😃

Book “The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid Of Anything” by Linda Williams
Book “The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid Of Anything” by Linda Williams (Illustrated by Megan Lloyd)

This book doesn’t really talk about Halloween but it shows the images of Halloween like ghost-like shoes and Jack-O-Lantern.

The good thing about this book is that it gives only a small amount of spookiness. And the main character the little old lady is a lady who is not afraid of anything!

Even your little toddler who doesn’t like scary things can look at the images related to Halloween and have fun with Halloween.

It’s also a story about sequence.

You will see the ghosty shoes, ghosty pants, ghosty shirt, ghosty gloves, ghosty hat and a ghosty pumpkin head in order.

They come in order many times throughout the story and that makes the story more fun for young children.

Besides enjoying the Halloween stuff without getting so scared, you can teach about a great growth mindset and an attitude about life circumstances with this book. Listen to the episode 70 of Teacher Gela Podcast and learn how to teach them.

Song “The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid Of Anything” by “Music with Mar.”

After reading the book a few times, you can listen to this song. It will remind your child of the story again and make her/his Halloween time fun.

Happy learning and quality time!
