Are you familiar with scavenger hunt?
No, not the regular kind.😉
The one I’m talking about is the scavenger hunt for mindfulness.
It’s similar to these “I Spy” game.
You get a paper that has pictures of things in the nature and go out with it. As you walk in the nature, you can use your senses and “spy” or spot the things that are on the paper.
It’s a great way to open our mind and senses when we go into the nature. Especially for children, it helps them to focus on the present moment.
I found a book that shows the process of doing the scavenger hunt for mindfulness.
Book “Meet September” by April Martin
The scavenger hunt is one of many cool things in the book.
In the book, you can hear about all the things happening in September – in U.S.
So you can use this book to talk about the month, September, and the season fall, too.
Listen to the podcast episode 66 of Teacher Gela Podcast to learn more about this book and how you can use this book to talk about mindfulness.
