Have you ever wondered about what cereal is afraid of?
Have you ever wondered about what stars are doing during the daytime?
Have you ever wondered if sandwiches get mad when you bite them?
Those questions make you laugh, don’t they?😊
Let’s not put them aside just with a laugh and think a little deeply.
“Is cereal afraid of the spoon?”
A girl in the book “I Wonder” asks.
Ask this question to your child. What’s his answer?
He might not have a very reasonable answer but I’m sure it will make him think and imagine.
Ask this question.
“What do clouds taste like?”
Whoo- A fun question! This question will not only make your child to think but also feel jolly.
These questions are all from the book “I Wonder”.
Book “I Wonder” by Kari Anne Holt and Kenard Pak
This week, I suggest you to read this book together with your child. Because the book is composed of only questions, it’s very easy to make children think and have a small conversation.
If you want to go a little deeper, after each question in the book, ask one additional question.
“What other things do you wonder about in the picture?”
Your child will feel more connected to the book and you.💛
After having a quality time with your little one, I recommend you to pick up this book again and look through the pictures. Let your curiosity waken up and feel like a child for a moment. And I hope you can have about 20 minutes to yourself to do this activity.
Checking your Mind with the Phrase “I wonder”
I explain about this activity (for adults!) in detail in the episode 62.
If you want to have some mindful time and check yourself, make sure you listen to it.🙂
